Okaw Valley Orchard
Home

Okaw Valley Orchard Inn is a country bed and breakfast situated on our family
run working orchard, Okaw Valley Orchard. The barn style home was built by
Jennifer's parents in the 1970's just before the first trees were planted. It was the
family home until 2006, when plans and renovations began to convert the home
into a bed and breakfast. It is our family's desire to share our simple orchard life
with others. It is a beautiful and peaceful home to get away from the business of
life. Guests staying at the 22 acre orchard may stroll in the woods on the
riverbank, fish in the stocked pond, relax and observe the myriad of birds
(including hummingbirds) from the comfort of the enclosed back porch, observe
and possibly participate in our working orchard (July--October),then finish the
day with a soak in the outdoor hot tub.

In addition to the many ways to relax at the orchard, many attractions and
shopping experiences are just minutes from the orchard. The orchard sits on a
country road between Highway 121 and 32 between the communities of Sullivan,
Bethany, and Lovington. We are 8 minutes from Sullivan where you can enjoy
the Little Theateron the Square, shopping in our many shops, and great dining.
Lake Shelbyville is only 10 minutes away with boating, fishing, hiking, a beach,
and hunting. Boat parking is available at the Inn. We are 20 minutes from the
Amish community in scenic Arthur and 30 minutes from Shelbyville to the south
or Arcola and Rockome Gardens to the east. For those who don't like to be
away from the city, Decatur is only 40 minutes northwest of the Inn. Decatur is
home of the Farm Progress Show, ADM, and many tourist attractions.
